2026, M4 residency, Tetterode, a former type foundry

Amsterdam

During my residency at m4gastatelier‭, ‬I conducted fieldwork within the Tetterode Building‭, ‬a former type foundry‭, ‬working with its acoustic‭, ‬material and typographic residues‭. ‬I engaged with the site as a layered system of industrial echoes‭, ‬traces of typefaces and spatial hauntology‭.‬

Through embodied practices of automatic writing‭, ‬field recording and reading Edgar Allan Poe in different empty locations of the‭ ‬building‭, ‬I explored how its temporal and sensory conditions can be activated and translated into text and subtle performative‭ ‬actions‭.‬
