Narrative Environments

2025–2026
Workshop series
M4gastatelier, Tetterode, Amsterdam

A series of five workshops dedicated to collective, speculative world-building through writing, slide-making, and working with spatial models.

For each iteration, I invited participants and artists from diverse practices, developing the project as a space for collaboration, the exchange of methods, and collective experimentation.

The project explores how the memory of place, the body, and materials co-create imaginaries of tourist spaces. Drawing on Winnicott’s concept of the transitional object and Barad’s onto-epistemology, participants worked with memory, embodied knowledge, and imagination, using simple materials, light, air, and fog to create sculptural models and experimental environments.

The resulting spatial prototypes explored scale, atmosphere, and movement, shifting the perspective from the human toward objects, materials, and other non-human entities.
