Info

An ‘Isla’ embodies a new, yet transformed area. Where all systems are the result of socio-ecological disaster. Those who reach the island are in fact survivors of the wreckage, be it physical, ecological or cultural. Their dysfunctional remains are the basis for the creation of islands, which are themselves the result of a process of adaptation by the exiles, of separation from civilisation with its legal system, and of phenomena such as climate catastrophe, technological overdevelopment, moral relativism, sociological and urban problems.

Art installation
Seven models of interiors, scale 1:20
International Interior Design Biennal in Cracow MOS, Cracow, Poland

Subjective analysis of private interiors and the identity of their inhabitants. The project is intended to draw attention to the problem of community and the isolation of elderly people. In an installation referring to Polish tower block housing, peepholes were placed at various heights, in which schemat - ic models representing the flats of lonely older people were placed. The models were made on the basis of consultations with seniors and use authentic objects photographed for the project in the their flats. The position of the peepholes alludes to the architectural barriers faced by people with reduced mobility.
