Neither human nor natural

Our world is losing biodiversity, a variety of life forms is vanishing from the earth every day. It’s frightening but true. Our planet is now in the midst of its sixth mass extinction of plants and animals. And unlike past mass extinctions, caused by events like asteroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, and natural climate shifts, the current crisis is almost entirely caused by us - humans.

Our way of life deprives animals of the right to live. Vanishing of an animal species leads to extinction of others bound by complex ecological webs. By not caring, not acting and not facing the fact that our everyday life is the cause of the biggest disaster in human history, we will condemn ourselves to a world of chaos and degradation.
